Legendary football coach Vince Lombardi said, “It’s not whether you get knocked down, it’s whether you get up.” Well, the economy certainly knocked us down, but we’ve decided that it’s time to get back up.

Davis Day Trips hit the road for the first time on February 9, 2006. Owner, Debbie Davis, realized she was doing something right when her brand new small business was recognized as “Best Travel Agency in Salem County” in its first two years in business. She was also honored that Davis Day Trips was awarded a Salem County “Community Spirit” award in the Small Business Category in 2007.

To show appreciation to their loyal customers, Davis Day Trips decided to focus on ways to give back to the community. Efforts over the years included a very successful food drive, tote bag sale with proceeds given to Feeding America, and “Do Gooder” savings coupons given to customers each time they supported a designated “Charity of the Month.”

Although we have eliminated some of the little extras previously provided to our customers so that we can, once again, offer the most budget-friendly motorcoach trips possible, we are determined to continue our mission of giving back. For each trip sold, we will donate $2 to Feeding America. A $2 donation results in 16 meals given to the hungry in communities where our customers live.

As in the past, the events offered by Davis Day Trips are geared toward independent, active travelers who appreciate the cost savings associated with group travel. We will also continue to research unique and fun events to add to our yearly schedule to keep things fresh and interesting.

We embark on this second phase wiser from our past experience, braced for the still bumpy ride of the current economy, and encouraged by the support that you have shown us.
